Sindh water diverted to Punjab



12494 cusecs water from the share of Sindh has been diverted to Punjab between May 21 to May 25 by Punjab province of Pakistan. Water share of Sindh from Indus River has been diverted to Jehlum through Taunsa-Panjnad Canal. Sindh was released 110000 cusecs water in spite of 120000 cusecs from Chashma Barrage, and 94506 cusec water from Taunsa Barrage in spite of 97000 cusecs. Sindh is facing 28 percent water shortage from Indus River System. Sindh Government has written a letter to Indus River System Authority.
