A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Sindh on the call of Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz (JSMM) against the murder of Dr. Khalid Mehmmod Soomro, Asif Panhwar, Waheed Lashari and the extra-judicial murder of other Sindhi nationalists as well as enforced disappearances. Markets were shut down and traffic was absent from Karachi to Kashmor. Armed conflict was also reported from the some cities of Sindh between the youth and the armed forces. Thousands of persons also gave a sit-in at Sindh-Punjab borders and closed the highway. Protest demonstrations by the JSMM, JSQM, JUI-F, JST, PPP and PPP (SB) activist were held at the various places. A large number of various political parties were also detained. A main rally in Sukkur was led by JUI-F and Sindhi nationalists as well as Hindu community leader Ravi Kumar. Read details in Sindhi daily Awami Awaz
