Sindh Assembly finally makes amendments regarding higher education in Sindh, which now empower the Chief Minister of Sindh to depute the Vice Chancellors of public universities. Earlier, these authorities were with Governor of Sindh, who is constitutionally a representative of the federation in the province. Besides, the amendments were made that authorize Sindh Government to regulate admission policies in the higher education institutes and universities of the province. In the absence of such amendments, Sindhi students were practically banned to get admissions in the universities of Karachi. Read details in Sindhi daily Awami Awaz
