Almost whole Sindh observed strike on the Independence Day of Pakistan on 14 August marking a black day. The call for the strike was given by Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz (JSMM) and Jeay Sindh Qomi Mahaz (JSQM). Besides, it was reported by Sindhi as well as English media of Pakistan that blasts and firing was carried almost in every town and city of Sindh. On the other hand, police in association with the armed forces in Pakistan has started crackdown against the JSMM and other nationalists particularly JSQM and Jeay Sindh groups.
