Prem Chand (Barkat Chandio) was abducted by Pakistan intelligence agencies a couple of days ago. He was from Warah town of district Qambar Shahdadkot. Sindh welcomes its newest administrative district: Sujawal

The Sindh government on Saturday announced its decision to carve out a Sujawal district from Thatta. The move will see the total number of districts in the province to swell to 28. According to a notification from the Revenue Department, the right bank of River Indus would now comprise of the old Thatta district and left bank will now come under the jurisdiction of newly created district Sujawal. 5.1 magnitude quake jolts Mashkay again

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Mashkay in Balochistan at around 2:37pm on Saturday, Express News reported. The epicenter of the quake was 72 kilometers West, by Southwest of Khuzdar, placing it near to Mashkay which had been devastated by a series of high magnitude earthquakes in September. Thousands attend 'love for Sindh' rally: Murderers of Sindhi, Baloch and Pashtun should be punished

Qomi Awami Tahreek (QAT) held a 'Love for Sindh' rally in Qambar Shahdadkot town of Sindh that was attended by thousnads of the residents. QAT Chief Ayaz Latif Palijo in his speech said that the government has failed to provide basic rights and amenities like hospitals, schools and road infrastructure in the areas from where billions worth oil and gas resources are being extracted. He said that Pakistan People Party (PPP) has been getting votes for taking revenge of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto; however while in the government they never inched in that direction. He said that although a large sum of NATO weaponry has been recovered but authorities are still unwilling to punish those who are invloved in the murders of Sindhi, Baloch and Pashtun. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has said in its remarks on the cases of disappearance from Sindh and Balochistan that all disappeared persons are abducted by the intelligence agencies of Pakistan and are in their custody. The judges of the court said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan is helpless in seeking the release of the victims although the court is having concrete evidences and witnesses of abductions by the intelligence agencies. Police harass and book 40 Sindhi activists in Kandhkot; Shutter down strikes and arson attacks by the residents

Police and Armed Forced opened aerial firing in the Kandhkot town, the district headquarters of Sindh-Balochistan-Punjab bordering district Kashmore. A report regarding thumb print verification of votes cast at NA-256 constituency in Karachi released by the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) revealed that 57,642 bogus votes cast during the May 11 elections, Express News reported on Monday. Out of the 84,448 votes cast only 6,805 were verified. It was revealed that 5,893 votes were cast twice and 741 votes were not related to the area. Moreover, there were 11,346 votes cast from 40 Computerised National Identity Cards. Muttahida Quami Movement’s candidate Iqbal Muhammad Khan had won the elections in the constituency. Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is lobbying to keep a key defence role and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is considering the request, military and civilian officials told The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Kayani steps down as army chief next month after serving twice the normal three-year term for the position. On the call given by Jeay Sindh Qomi Mahaz (JSQM) various political parties Pakistan Muslim League - Functional (PML-F), Sindh Taraqipassand Party (STP), Jeay Sindh Tahreek (JST), lawyers, traders and civil society activists took to the streets against the atrocities on Hindus in Daharki town of Ghotki district, Sindh. Daharki town is the native to notorious religious leaders' family lineage Pirs of Bharchundi. The Pirs previously killed Bghata Kanwar Ram, a Sufi, before Indian partition. Recently, these socalled Pirs have been engaged in the activisim against Hindus in association with the local Punjabis and with the support of the security establishment of Pakistan. It was Pir of Bharchundi who ordered abduction and forced conversion of Rinkle Kumari. The Pir is well know for his close links with teh Pano Aqil cantonment.

Federal Govt. of Pakistan denies to release 68 billion rupees development share of Sindh

The Federal Government of Pakistan has denied to release 67.97 billion rupees development funds of Sindh, which were due to the federation as per federal fiscal distribution of pooled resources.
