"Pakistan escape a break-up due to elections rigging and fraud": National Media Conference

In highly derogatory and ridiculous speeches in the National Media Conference held yesterday in Karachi have astonished at least the participants and the people of Sindh.  The speakers said, "Pakistan escape a break-up like one in 1971 thankfully due to elections rigging and fraud." Although these remarks were censured in the news published by country's so-called  national English and Urdu media, the vernacular media especially Sindhi newspapers and TV channels have highlighted these remarks by some renowned journalists and intellectuals in the event. Such a remarks, no doubt, reflect the mindset in Pakistan especially of those who have strong say whiten the security establishment of the country. The conferance was organized by Urdu University, Karachi in collaboration with US Consulate Karachi. Read news in Sindh daily Awami Awaz Read news in English daily Express Tribune
