Sarabjit Singh to be cremated with state honours today; thousands flock to see his body

According to Times of India, the mortal remains of Sarabjit Singh, which were brought to his village Bikhiwind, Amritsar 23 years after he inadvertently crossed over to Pakistan, will be consigned to flames on Friday afternoon with state honours. A large number of people, including women, have started arriving here for the cremation of 49-year-old Sarabjit who succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Lahore on Thursday following a brutal attack in Kot Lakhpat Jail where he was lodged since 1990.
