In protest: Sindh will always remain united, says JSQM

Workers and leaders of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a sit-in outside the office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Ghotki to mark their protest against the latter’s demand for a separate Muhajir province.

Hundreds of protesters, including women and children, led by JSQM senior vice-chairperson Dr Niaz Kalani gathered outside the Ghotki press club. Armed with banners, they shouted slogans against the MQM leadership and in favour of a united Sindh.

In the meantime, hundreds of workers of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), led by its vice-president, Zahid Bhutto, also joined the protest rally, which marched through the main roads of the city to reach the bypass, where the protesters staged a sit-in outside the MQM office.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kalani strongly condemned the MQM leaders’ demand to carve out a Muhajir province within the boundaries of Sindh. He stressed that Sindh was united and will always remain united. Courtesy: Daily Express Tribune
