People of Sindh observed Black Day against creation of Pakistan on August 14

The people of Sindh observed Black Day on August 14. Thousands attended the protest held in almost all major towns and cities of the Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Larkana Divisions of the province. Protests congregations and gatherings were also organized in the major Jails of Sindh including Central Prisons of Karachi, Landhi, Hyderabad and Sukkur. 

The protests were organized by the political parties that believe in the freedom of Sindh that included Jeay Sindh Qomi Mahaz (JSQM), Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz (JSMM), Jeay Sindh Tahreek (JST) and Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM). Armed persons opened fire on the JSQM rally in Nawabshah in which at least three activists got fatal injuries. 

The protesters condemned the creation of Pakistan sixty eight years ago. They demanded United Nations to take notice of the human Rights violations in Sindh, where activists are being killed, abducted and tortured by the state machinery.
