The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances (CIED) has recommended filing criminal cases against some 117 serving officials of law enforcement agencies allegedly involved in missing persons’ cases. Officials familiar with the development told The Express Tribune on Tuesday that these officials are currently serving in the police, Frontier Constabulary, Frontier Corps, Intelligence Bureau and Inter Services Intelligence. Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal is heading the commission which is currently dealing with some 757 pending cases of missing persons. Read details in Express Tribune
