Massive out-pour against rigging: Karachi and Jaccobabad become battle grounds between protesters and security forces, military called in Jaccobabad, protests in the various parts of Sindh

A massive people reaction was witnessed yesterday across Sindh against election rigging by MQM and PPP. Thousands of protesters took to the streets again in various parts of Karachi mainly on Shahrah-e-Faisal, where they blocked the road for hours. Shahrah-e-Faisal connects Karachi Port to the rest of the city and the country. Clashes between Police, Rangers and protesters reported as government banned on protests in the city on May 12. The worst situation was reported in the Jaccobabad city, which turned into a battle ground by the armed citizens. Authorities called military in the city, and a curfew was declared. The strikes were also observed in the other rigged constituencies of Hyderabad, Matyari, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Badin, Umerkot, Khairpur Mirs, Larkana and Ghotki districts.
