In the name of Sindh: Anniversaries of slain nationalist leader Muzaffar Bhutto and activist Ghazalla Siddiqui held across Sindh

In separate as well as joint events, the first anniversaries of Muzaffar Bhutto and Ghazala Siddiqui were held in Sindh on May 22, 2013.

The first death anniversary of  the assassinated leader of Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz (JSMM) Muzaffar Bhutto was held in Sunn town of Sindh, which was attended by a large number of activists from across the district. Meanwhile, the anniversary events were held in the various cities and towns of district Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Karachi and Ghotki.  

Muzaffar Bhutto was killed by security agencies of Pakistan in 2012 and his bullet ridden body was thrown on the roadside near Hyderabadto city of Sindh. He was twice disappeared by ISI and MI of Pakistan for which a complaint was under process in the UNCHR Geneva.    

Besides, it was also the first death anniversary of Ghazalla Siddiqui who was killed in Karachi during 'Love Sindh Rally' held by Awami Tahreek against the proposed division of Sindh by then government of PPP. Ghazala was killed by the Rangers soldier as he opened fire on him. 

On the other hand civil society and political activists of Karachi held a candle light vigil for Muzaffar Bhutto and Ghazalla Siddiqui at Press Club Karachi.
