Protest rallies, hunger-strikes, corner meetings and public gatherings were held across Sindh against the controversial local government law. Those who organized the protest demonstrations include Sindh United Party, Sindh Taraqi Passand Party, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Mahaz, Awami Tahreek and Pakistan Peoples Party.
